Each year, we try to take another step forward with Surviving Bloomington. In 2020, playing on private property allowed for larger, more intricate challenges, and more intense game-play

With the Coronavirus outbreak in 2020, new obstacles presented themselves for the success and safety of our game. It felt more important than ever for us to do our part in raising money for such an at-risk section of our community. Ultimately, our 2020 cast was able to raise over $3,000 to help support people experiencing homelessness in Bloomington!

It was an intense game that took place in the blistering sun with nearly 100 degree weather. There were blindsides, huge idol plays, thunderstorms, sheer exhaustion, blood, sweat, tears, and so much more!

The final three was unique this year in that it was all men. Da’Vontae Randolf played a highly strategic/social game, Adam Crotzer played a highly physical game, and Griffin Halloran did everything he could to just survive (including getting voted out pre-merge, and winning his way back into the game)

In the end, the jury decided that Adam Crotzer deserved the win with a 4-2-2 vote. Adam’s extreme skill in almost every challenge, and his relentlessness in finding idols led to one of the most dominating performances Surviving Bloomington has seen yet
